This was a 3 person project developed for Meta’s XR Hackathon in November 2021. I was in charge of development. The rest of the team consisted of an UX designer and a Producer.
The Hackathon’s aim was to develop an experience that took advantages of Meta’s Presence Platform, namely the possibility of scripting passthrough camera behaviours and implementing voice recognition systems on the Meta Quest Pro 2.
We felt that the inclusion of the users surroundings and own voice enhanced the empathetic experience we were aiming for. Using these tools we incentivized the user to role-play the Persona’s own experiences. Both Voice and Passthrough overlap the user’s reality with the feelings our experiences sought to communicate.
The Vr experience Goliath by Anagram and Floreal Films was a huge influence.
